2007 Select NRL Champions Product Review |
Released March 2007 Select NRL Champions was the first release for Select Rugby League for the year. This product was a slow seller to begin with but once word got out about the interesting new insert range sales skyrocketed. In the end this product sold out at wholesale level and the inserts continue to sell strongly.

| Common Card : A good quality common card neither exceeding expectation or failing to deliver. 12 cards per team plus a header card and two checklist making up a quality 195 card set. This included the first common team set for the Gold Coast Titans. Most of these cards however faeture the players in training uniform and you will have to wait for series 2 to get the first Titans cards in game gear. |

| Holographic Foiled Parallel Cards : A new direction for parallel cards for Select . These Holofoil type cards feature the common card player picture with a shiny holofoil background. These cards are subject to damage and require care when handling and in storage. Some of the print run for this series feature roller marks across the cards so be on the look out for the cards of perfect quality for greater long term value. |

| Sketch Card Inserts: This insert collection is arguably the hottest new design Select has come up with in years. Featuring artists impressions of the players in sketch form this 32 card insert set is a winner. Each Team had two players featured in the set and cards were sold as both individual cards and as team collection.Some of the hot cards in the collection were Sonny Bill Williams , Karmichael Hunt , Brett Stewart , Jarryd Hayne , Matt Cooper , Brett Hodgson and Matt Bowen. |

| Acetate Gem Cards : Using a similar artwork to the sketch cards these were printed on a plastic card clear with pinstripe lines.They also feature a foiled holgraphic silver gem logo. The name is printed in gold emboss. These cards are truely a great design and there hardy nature shold stand the test of time. The 16 card set also features some very collectable players making this possibly the best insert set yet to be produced by Select. We have ranked the cards in the set below with approximate market value. |
| NRL Award Winner Inserts : These cards are more of a conventional style insert with gold foil embossed stamping. Found 1 per box only but as the set only contained 6 cards each insert was not so hard to find. With two cards from Melbourne Storm , Brisbane Broncos and Parramatta ( three of the more collectable teams of the time ) the set was popular. |
| Case Cards : Two case cards were produced for this set only available on opening a 12 box case of NRL Champions 2007. The case cards come pre loaded in a hard top loader and in mint condition. Both these cards for this series are aimed at the National Level of playing for the Kangaroos . The first case card is a Farewell tribute to Andrew Johns Tets career. The second being a celebration of the Kangaroos winning the tri nations. |
